We found Vishnu as our driver for the 8-day journey from the recommendation of a Taiwan backpacker forums.
Vishnu has been a driver for 10 years, a very skilled driver, and always smiling. He major in history, read a lot of books and search many information about India online. He is indeed a living encyclopedia of India, and always has good stories to tell for each site, even more detailed then guide books. In the 8-day journey, we talked about almost everything about India, from history, religions, cultures, lifestyle, economy, politics, contemporary society issues, to international relationships. He let me learn a lot about India deeply, and make this trip more than just a tour.
In addition, we can really feel his caring and kindness. He prepared ice water and drinks for us everyday, just what we want; For the day we took the night train for experience, he help us find the correct and platform and carriage, make sure we get to the seats, and call us at 4 in the morning to confirm for our safety; Always gave us tips for what to be aware of at each city, each site.
For us, Vishnu is not only a driver, but also a very responsible guard, a knowledgable guide, a living encyclopedia, and a great friend. Highly recommend!
I highly recommend Vishnu. He is the best driver you can have to visit India. He drives very careful and always takes very good care of his guests. We had a great time in Radjastan with him. Vishnu is also a great friend for us.

2014年11月, 我和旅伴兩人遊北印11天, 找到了Vishnu做為旅成的司機兼夥伴.
ReplyDelete記得抵達德里機場時, 從裡頭望著外頭滿滿舉著名牌等待接機的人, 困擾著該如何找到司機, 沒想到, 一踏出門便看到有位先生舉著印著國旗的牌子, 我們心中大石卸下了, 此時, 我感受到的是Vishnu的貼心, 這趟旅程也因此有了個好的開始.
旅程途中, Vishnu很貼心有提供兩張sim卡(可自費加值上網), 免去我們需買預付卡的麻煩. 車上也有水跟可樂, 如果我們口渴時, 不用擔心沒水喝. 如果太陽太大, 他也有提供遮陽板防曬黑, 每天我們上車前他都會清潔車內環境, 所以前一天的垃圾都不見了.
在出發前, 其實我們只有規畫停留的城市跟想去看的景點及旅館, 吃飯地點以及如何到達, 皆是Vishnu 處理, 其實他比我們更害怕腹瀉問題, 所以整趟旅程,他選擇的餐廳, 都是有一定水準之上(都很好吃!!!), 因此整趟旅程下來, 我們腸胃都安好. 途中想要吃路邊攤, 要求他幫買, 他也是默默的就忽略這些可能讓我們拉肚子的要求, 一開始有點無法體會他的用心, 後來途中遇到吃路邊攤嚴重腹瀉嘔吐的背包客以及在機場看到因腹瀉嘔吐無法行走的旅客, 內心很感謝Vishnu, 因為他的堅持造就了我們快樂的旅遊.
由於旅館是我們自己訂的, 旅館在入住時, 他也會提醒要注意哪些事情, 也會比我們擔心旅館的品質, 入住後, 往往證明他的擔心是對的. 他的準時也顛覆了我對印度人的印象, 總是比我們約訂的出發時間早到旅館樓下等我們, 逛完景點也是一走出門口, 就會馬上看到他或整台車子. 是個比台灣人還守時的印度人!!!
到景點旅遊前, 他也會貼心的提醒導覽相關事項, 以及我們可能會遇到纏人小販時該怎麼處理. 對我們來說, 他不只是一位司機, 更是一位保鏢. 因為Vishnu, 整趟旅程不需要時時刻刻在警戒狀態, 讓北印度旅遊成為放鬆的度假.
